Holly Hunter is an American actor and producer who is well-known for her highly laudable performance in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. Holly Hunter has won numerous awards which included her first Oscar for her movie Piano. The path to acting began with Broadway with a variety of Broadway and Off Broadway initiatives. The art of acting has been a constant love of life. In the fifth grade she was cast as Helen Keller in an original production. The mumps caused her to lose hearing in one her ear, however this didn't stop the actress from fulfilling her dream. While in college, she took classes in theatre and later moved from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to New York City in pursuit of her goal. She was introduced to Beth Henley in an elevator and they worked together on Broadway Crimes of the Heart, Hunter's first film. The first time she appeared in a film was after she relocated from Los Angeles. Since then, Holly Hunter has been in many films, television movies and series. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star and the Women in Film Lucy Award.
