Holly Hunter was an American actress, who gained fame for the films Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. The actress has received several awards for her work, including an Oscar. Actresses have a lengthy career of involvement in Broadway as well as Off-Broadway projects. From her early years she's been passionate in the field of acting. She was Helen Keller as a fifth-grade pupil in a school performance. Mumps led her to lose hearing in one of her ear canals, but that didn't stop the actress from pursuing her dream. At college, she was a theatre student and later moved from Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, to New York City in pursuit of her dreams. Hunter made her Broadway debut due to an accidental meeting in the company of Beth Henley, a playwright. Together, they wrote in Broadway Crimes of the Heart. Her first role in film came after she relocated from Los Angeles. In the three decades since her time in Los Angeles Holly Hunter has been featured in a variety of television movies and series. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame actress and won Women in Film Lucy Award.
